Burlington Timelines

Did you know that back in 1964, consultants recommended that Burlington should implement a one-way street system in the core? Or, that in 1914, it was the Nelson Township ratepayers who chose the site for a new school, later to become Strathcona.

As a new feature, we will publish historical timelines, highlighting Burlington news items from 50 and also from 100 years ago as part of a blog on our Canadian Heritage Books website. At the present time, we have posted Burlington Timelines for January of 1914 and 1964, but will be adding to it on a regular basis so that it should be updated weekly.
